I used to use a "piece of I don't know what" before I got this one! Really! Once you have the rope in your hands, the quality, feel and look of it, you don't want to go to anything else. It may be "ridiculously" priced for some people, but you only need one in your life, trust me. My horse went through everything with it, and the rope survived.
I knew being a Parelli product the rope would be of excellent quality, but I could not believe the difference when I finally was able to get one! The feel is so amazing and I am able to handle it better even though it is longer than the "plain old regular rope" I had been using before! It will be only Parelli products for me and my horse partner from now on :)
I have (2) 12 foot lines and (1) 22 foot lead rope that I use with my horses. I WILL NEVER USE ANYTHING ELSE. They are approx. 10 years old and still being used. Once you get used to the flexible, limber, supple, feel you will will be hooked. Takes a while to get used to the change but well worth it. Mine have been used in all kinds of weather, drug through the mud and stickers and challenged by the horses. They are resilient! I just put in a pillow case, drop it in the washer, add a scoop of Charlies Soap and wah lah - they are good to go again. Glad you added more colors
Although ridiculously priced this rope is good. It has held up to a lot of use and the colors have not faded. The only thing I have noticed is that my miniature hates it, it is much to heavy for him, with the slightest wiggle he just about has a heart-attack. I switched to a cheep, light lead that I found and he loves it.
I have 4 12 foot lines now. 2 whites, One black, and one purple. I love the feel of the rope. The are very resistant and the leather popper lasts for a long time! Plus the brass snap is very easy to connect. (Which is handy) The only thing that I don't like is that you can't wash it in a washer unless you have something over the snap. Overall this is a great rope! :)
I cringe when I go somewhere and someone hands me a horse on a short cotton lead rope. Get that horse off of me! I always have my 12ft line with me no matter what I'm doing with a horse. It's great for leading and allowing the horse to walk at a safe distance from you. The extra length can double as a savvy string to put pressure on a horse's hindquarters to drive it forward or away. I also frequently use the end to flick at other horses that I might be walking by in the pasture, so that the horse I'm leading knows he can trust me to keep the other horses safely away. The rope feels great and is holding up well to the muddy winter we've got going on here. When it gets real gritty and muddy I just soak it in warm water and hang it to dry. It's soft and good as new in the morning.
I've had this lead rope since May of 2005. I have since played with about 20-30 horses with it. I also use it to walk and tie my dogs. I use it to secure stuff in the truck. I use this lead for just about everthing. It's the best out there. I have washed it a few times, in a front load washer. I have also put it in the dryer. It still feels great after all these years of abuse!
If you have to buy just one rope in your life- Buy this one! Great length, amazing feel, and it's extremely hard to get rope burns with! I have 12 foot lines dating back to 1999, and they're still in great shape.
Parelli ropes and halters are easy to sell. When I have someone new attend our play days I let them borrow my equipment and it does not take long before they see and feel the difference. The ropes have a life when you send a wave. Then I tell them I have had some of my ropes for years.
I bought my 12ft line at a tour stop in 2005, and it has held up beautifully throughout the years. It is made of the same, high quality rope as the other Savvy String, 22', etc lines. Although it is white, it is easily washable. All you have to do is throw it in the washing machine with a couple towels or in a pillow case, and it will come out super white again! Unlike many older ropes, the snap on this line doesn't rust and holds up beautifully over the years. I also love the weight and feel of the rope, since many other ropes are just too light to work effectively with many horses. This is definitley a great buy! :)
Awesome, wonderful... love my leads! Have washed them to death and they still look/work great!
This rope I have used for over ten years and it is the best quality of rope I have ever found! It is soft and it cleans up like new!
Simply the best leadrope, the most durable and long lasting (had mine for 7 years!). Pop it into a soak or gentle cycle to keep it looking pretty. Of course, I keep a couple extra on hand!
In the beginning I thought that I could get away with the off-brand ropes. But once I had a lesson with an instructor and she let me use her equipment....needless to say... when I got home I returned/sold all my off-brand ropes, then proceeded to replace everything with Parelli. The quality just cannot be beat! Energy can be sent down the line so smoothly and very effectively. As soon as I began using my 12' line with my horse, he responded 500x better than he had with any other rope. The communication between us is much more clear and he really is able to understand my slightest cue. I have gone ahead and bought the 22' line with the same results. I will continue to come to Parelli for anything I need. Everything here is worth the extra investment and will last for years to come. Recommended for anyone.
Perfect length, perfect weight, perfect material, perfect rope. Just love how it feels in the hand. Better than any other that I've used.
i have othe 12 ft lines that are not as heavy and my horses do not respnd as well to them. this rope also slides much easier in my hands i have had it for a year and other than being dirty from lots of use it is in great shape
This rope is great for any and should be used with every horse. It is a great weight and it dose not move unexpectedly and hit or scare you horse! The clip wont break like the normal lead rope clips.
I will never use another lead rope again! I am addicted to all Parelli products, someone tried to give me a heavy, thick and stiff lead rope and I refused! But then I was able to tell them about Parelli! So win-win!
I love the length of these lines. It is great for leading and loading. At first it felt like I had too much rope but quickly I started to run out of it when playing, so moved to the 22, and now the 45. I use my 12 ft every day for leading and tying etc.
The 12 foot line is great for when you want to do some quick playing with your horse. Also these ropes are so great because they slide through your hands so easily so that it make is nicer for you to hold.
This line is the perfect length! Great for leading, tying, playing the 7 games and close contact. I love to make it into reins and ride with it as well!
Perfect feel and length! It makes a huge difference for riding and on the ground. The rope is so smooth, it has never given me a rope burn. I will never buy a short, stiff lead rope again.
Great length and weight for playing with your horse and giving him space if he needs it!
I love my lead, I love the extra length and the leather end to let me know I've reached it. It does not burn your hand (because you are quick to release in the first place :). Also when knotted it release easily. My friends have washed theirs which makes them look brand new. I personally like the feel with the dirt mixed in :) I give it 5 stars!
I love the "life" that is in this rope! After playing with this rope other ropes seem either stiff or just plain limp! I'll never give it up!
I have found two things are true about this line for me. First is that the feel gets better the more you use it and second I have found I can't stand the feel of "normal" leads. The life in this rope is super and it only take a feather to transfer the feel down the line to your horse.
I grabbed a non-Parelli lead the other morning doing chores and while asking one of our horses to take a couple steps back with our normal little jiggle of the rope, he just stood there with a blank look! I switched ropes and bingo! So much more gentle communication can be done with the Parelli leads and halters. Now that helps to build our relationship!
While playing the games for the first time with my mother's horse, I was using her cheap rope halter and lead that she bought at tractor supply. Trying to get any "life" in the lead was impossible and made my arms tired. I told her I would bring my parelli stuff the next day and man what I difference! I will NEVER use anything else if I can help it.
I can get much better feel through this rope, I love the difference! Haven't gotten a rope burn yet!
I've used and loved these lead ropes for over 15 years. After you get used to them there is no going back to other ropes. These Parelli ropes have spoiled me. I bought one of these for a friend who bought a rope from another well-know horseman and her comment was that the Parelli rope stops moving so much faster than her other rope when you quit wiggling it. I have worn out one popper, but have not yet had any snaps break. Excellent quality.
Once I started playing with this rope, I never looked back. All my ropes are PNH lines now!
If it's Parelli, it's quality! I love the feel of this in my hands as well as the feel it communicates to my horse!
Since using parelli 12ft lines I would never go back to an ordinary 6ft lead rope. They are excellent quality and allow your horse to drift, which is very handy if your horse spooks and I find them invaluable for when I am leading my two horses together, especially as one is a right brain extrovert !
I love how light the rope is, and the clip at the end adds the perfect amount of wieght! I feel like my horse understands think more clearly!
Great feel and encourages a natural flow. As a bonous you can just it along with all your other rope tack in the washing machine, wait 20-30 min. and voila beatiful, just like new. And they really don't fray( My mares both love to chew on them and they have yet show the abuse)
My first 12ft line still looks like new 10yrs on, but these new lines are one better. You can remove the snap so you can just throw them in the washing machine they dry and really quickly so you can have a sparkly clean line every day. They are that tiny bit lighter and now they even come in pink what more could you ask
I just LOVE this rope! it has been tossed and used alot. the leather popper is a little worn out but the rope looks almost brand new! I love the swivel on the snap and also I like that it twists and snaps into place! this rope is PERFECT.
I can honestly say its the best rope iv ever had!!!!! Plenty thick enough, lovely feel to it, if anything it is really heavy and perfect in everyday!!
